RACCOON REVENGE
Level Designer / Systems Designer
Responsibilities: Completely redesign broken movement system and designing levels for base game and seasonal updates.
Raccoon Revenge is a top down 2D stealth game where you collect trash and avoid pest control as a rebellious raccoon.
Contributions
Due to the player character being hard to control and not interacting with the levels properly, I was tasked with redesigning the movement system.
Many of the levels were outdated or poorly designed which resulted in a lot of redesigns. We were also aiming for a Christmas and Easter update which required more levels to be created.
Raccoon Revenge was an odd project to be on not because of the game itself but because of the many lineup changes we went through. We lost a producer half way through the project and then lost the second producer shortly after so we were left to our own devices to set handle scheduling remote meetings and whatnot. Creating levels was streamlined with an in-editor level builder and we created a fairly good task management system that was specific to level designers and artists since we were working so closely. All in all, the team was constantly adjusting to challenges thrown at us from all directions but we pulled through and got multiple seasonal updates released.
