Responsibilities: Design moves for multiple characters,implement frame data and hitboxes
Maid Fight is 2D Street Fighter style fighting game where all player characters engage in combat
against one another for the title of Head Maid. Players can play against each other in 1v1
matches or against the computer.
Contributions
Designed movesets for four different characters. Due to the timeline we had for
production, I was only able to fully implement the moveset, frame data, and hit boxes for
one character.
● Conducted a Frame Data analysis on multiple different fighting games and documented
methods to incorporate them into our designs.
Although this game wasn’t released, I look game on this project fondly for merely for the communication the team had throughout its development. All of us were experienced developers at this point and we had a ton of fun exploring unity’s universal fighting engine and making a game that was fun to play! Researching different games and creating different moves for the characters was one of the most freeing experiences I’ve had as a designer. The biggest challenge was definitely working with UFE and how buggy it was and how difficulty it was for the engineer to program the systems.
